That's short for Separation Anxiety.

You usually feel that when you've just recently separated with someone or a group of someones who you've had a lot of fun being with.

It's this feeling of being excessively alone just after you've said your goodbyes. It's a small experience for some, but an obstacle for others.

From my perspective, it's a bit of an eye-opener of how dependent a person can become. This should be an unsurprising discovery since people are naturally social creatures.

But then again, not everyone has the luxury of being able to socialize with those they're comfortable with. These people usually end up enjoying their own company most of the time, and they learn to cope with it through a variety of methods.

One of my own is a small explosion of creativity in the form of comic-making. I make comics to express my thoughts in an ideal world for myself through the characters I've created. Over time, I've developed these characters to be more unique so they can capture a certain aspect of myself based on my perspective. My own little escape from reality.

But even with a way to cope, the loneliness eventually ends up overwhelming a person. It's a dark feeling. A feeling that captures the way you think for those few moments.

It's a curious place to be in. It's not a pleasant place, but it does make one wonder why it exists in our minds in the first place.

I suppose it's there to help balance out the happiness you feel when being with the right people.

In any case, it is a place in one's mind that must be explored eventually.

But I gotta say, it's a whole lot more comfortable when you get to share it.
